One of my biggest "rules" or guidelines for massage, is that it should not be painful (pressure can be OK, but not pain) and I believe that a lot of pain experienced in treatments is from clients expecting and/or therapists trying to include too many areas, thus working too deeply, too quickly and causing pain. Therefore, I ask clients to be mindful of the time they book versus the areas in need of treatment. Listed below is a guideline of the different treatment times and general amount of treatment areas.
1 Hour Treatment
(up to ¼ Body)
Examples:

Shoulders (front & back)

Full back (including glutes)

Glutes + lower legs
90 Minute Treatment (up to ½ Body)
Examples:
-
Full back of body
-
OR neck, shoulders, arms & hands, and front of shoulders/pecs
2 Hour Treatment
(up to Full Body)
2.5- & 3-Hour Treatments
Full body (with more detail and attention)
What to expect from your appointment
All appointments are booked in for an additional time to allow for a detailed consultation, if needed, time for you to change and get setup, to get re-dressed and receive any recommendations, without taking from your treatment time.
*Please note: Health fund providor numbers for rebate claims are available with Remedial treatments only. No onsite claims, receipt with providor numbers supplied after your visit.
